Wow those are some beautiful examples Ron , congrats.
Not sure if you’re aware that Challenge made a brass example as well , little harder to find than the copper and silver ones , I’ve only seen 2 examples .
One pictured on the left is the brass variation .

Yes indeed, one I would like to acquire. Unfortunately I have never had one in my sights but I am a patient man.ScoutKnives wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 1:06 pm Wow those are some beautiful examples Ron , congrats.

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
A few days ago, my trip to the post office produced this multi tool, SCOUT KNIFE. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the first example, of this particular pattern or style, to be added to my "foreign born" pocket knife accumulation. It is a WERWOLF, one blade, five tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener with a screwdriver AND a PREST-O-LIGHT key, a can opener, and a punch or awl), one tang stamp, 3 3/4" closed (not including the bail), scouting or camping, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp (VERY FAINT) says, "WERWOLF (over) CUTL. WORKS (over) GERMANY" The shield says, "SCOUT KNIFE" The main blade has a WEAK half stop. The main blade has a GOOD opening snap. The main blade has a GOOD closing snap. The tools open and close with no issues. The punch or awl is copper colored on the back. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures, they do NOT do this pocket knife any justice, and here it is.

Thanks guys!
$3.50 Was the original sale price at the store when this was sold new!
In fact the box was printed $3.25 and they applied a sticker over that for $3.50
Unfortunately I paid a lot more than that for it

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
Newbie here. I’d love any assistance in helping to date my favorite pocket knife. I’ve gleaned (correctly or incorrectly) that the can opener places it pre-1945 (pre-Mirando opener) and the “right side-up” shield places it post-1928. Any insights? My apologies if this isn’t the place for such an inquiry.
