Hello everyone, just wondering if anybody knows a little bit about the history of these two knives from Carl Schlieper.
I found it among my grandfather stuff. They look pretty old but are in very good condition.
Maybe it can be sold for collectionists.
Thank you for your help

Hard to say on the age. I'd venture a guess the black one is after the 1940's due to the composite handles. The metal one could be 1920's or earlier. Metal cast handles were popular then but WW1 and WW2 rationed metal so my guess is before or between the wars. ??? I like the metal one. PM me if you decide to sell it. Thanks. J.O'.

Agree, hard to date the composition handle knife, even though composition handle utility knives were still showing up in the 70’s and early 80’s. The metal handle knife was in the line of cutlery from the 70’s through the 80’s. I still have 3 of them untouched in a factory box, acquired in 1980, Hope this helps.

Anyone have any idea on this ? Picked it up recently and can’t seem to find anything about it or another like it anywhere online. All I know is it’s a 425y Carl schlieper German eye.
