Special knives
I recently acquired this knife back. I gave it to my step son years ago. We were both forging and living a dream of knife art. He passed away then I received this knife back that I had forgotten I gave him. I'm glad he used and sharpened this knife. He probably used the tube it came in to light his forge. It means a lot to me.

My condolences on losing your stepson.
I am glad that you have this connection to him, and that you honor his memory by carrying it.
May God bless you.

I can’t imagine losing a child, my condolences. Even worse, one you shared that special hobby with. I’m glad you wound up with the knife, you’ll appreciate it more than anyone else ever would.

Re: Special knives
My original post was not to honor my son but to my coming to realize what a knife or say a tool means to someone. A Lot of folks, myself included, collect for their purpose and meaning. I have knives previously owned, wondering what adventures they have been through. I have mint knives that'll never be carried by me ..maybe ... Using a knife will reduce its value, but what value is it anyway if you never use it. Thank You Gentleman !

Re: Special knives
That is the type of knife that has no price on hit. Unlike the old knives we buy and ponder the tales they might tell, these have memories built in forever.
I know the pain of losing a child(two shortly after their birth and one to drugs 2 years ago). Al l can say is the pain lessens with time but never goes completely away. 41 years and it still hurts. I'll tell about it sometime.
