Kabar 1092 Stockman Pocket Knife.

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Kabar 1092 Stockman Pocket Knife.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

This morning, this "stockman" pattern or style of pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my first example to be posted under this new topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, I was pleased to discover it among the group or lot of pocket knives and it did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a Kabar, three blades, one tang stamp, 3 1/4" closed, two springs, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp, MISSING the "Kabar", says, 1092 (over) U.S.A." It appears that "Kabar" may have been ground off. This main blade does NOT have a half stop. This main blade does NOT have an opening snap. This main blade does NOT have a closing snap. This secondary blade does have a WEAK half stop. This secondary blade does have an OK opening snap. This secondary blade does have a GOOD closing snap. This third blade does NOT have a half stop. This third blade does NOT have an opening snap. This third blade does NOT have a closing snap. This pocket knife is in GOOD condition. I gave it a VERY minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Miller Bro's (Dimitri) suggested that this pocket knife could be a FACTORY SECOND.
It was too late for me to add that possibility to my original post.
I have added that possibility to my two other subsequent postings, AND in the above quote.
