DOc Watson's knives

A while back Doc Watson made a post about a couple of knives he had. He sent me the pics and I asked if he would like me to post them for him.

Here are the pics and I'll let him fill in the details.

The folder looks like a WW2 wood handled rope knife by Camillus. It should have a 4 line stamp and often have a USCG approval stamp which means it could be used in a life raft.

The fixed blade knife appears to be a Western U.S.N. Mark 1

thanks guys, does anyone know value or know of anyone who would be interested, as I am more into the modern stuff.

What had me stumped was neither knife had visible markings, the folder because as I was growing up, My Grandmother keep it in her knife drawer and used it to peel potatoes with, along with washing it with the other dishes, so all markings are gone. The sheath knife has no markings but looks to be in good shape, it has a sheath that matches the age of the knife. I kind of thought thats what they were but wanted to check with the experts.
