#3905 winchester swell center stockman bone scales
HI, GUYS, I HAVE THIS #3905 WINCHESTER AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THE KNIFE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, BUT THEIR ARE 2 NICKS ON THE MAIN BLADE, WHICH STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL WINCHESTER ETCH. I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD DECREASE THE VALUE IF I REMOVED THEM. I USUALLY DO NOT REWORK A KNIFE OTHER THEN CLEANING THEM. I WOULD REALLY LIKE YOUR OPINION ON THIS, BECAUSE I AM CONSIDERING PUTTING IT ON THE ALL ABOUT POCKET KNIFE PAGE TO SELL IT. THANK YOU. RICHARDLU.

Re: #3905 winchester swell center stockman bone scales
I'd leave it as is. I've sold vintage knives on eBay with close up photos and described in the listing that the blade had nicks and I don't believe it affected the value at all. I'd rather have a couple of minor nicks than a reprofiled blade.

I'm with Jim on this issue. You have a great knife and even carefully done, I'd rather have it in it's present condition.
I'd also love to see a photo.

I would rather buy a knife with full blades and a couple of minor chips than buy one with a substantial amont of blade loss.
Leave it intact, that's my advice.

Beautiful knife!
I wouldn't mess with it. I'd enjoy it just like it is.

Beautiful Winchester!
You'd lose at least ten percent of your blade honing those nicks out of that blade. Don't do it.

Looks like it went to ebay.

If I'd known you were serious about selling it. I'd have made an offer.

It would have likely done better if listed in the vintage section. I would have paid more outright for that little dandy!
