I stumbled across an auction today with a fancy matched set of French Laguiole-style knives specifically designed for cutting and spreading foie gras. We've all seen lots of special purpose knives, but I'd never seen these before and didn't know they existed. With about 10 days left in the auction (the auction house is in CT), the current bid is only $15.
As you can see in the photos, they have the classic Laguiole look, and there is some nice detail in these knives. Might be of interest to those folks here (and I think there are quite a few) who enjoy collecting Laguiole. If you are interested go the AuctionNinja website and search on "foie gras."

Wow! I’ve never seen fois gras (although I dearly love fried chicken livers if that counts), those knives are cool!
