Books
I'm relatively new to the collecting pocketknives and I'm in need of collector books to further my knowledge. Let me know what you have, thank you.

Re: Books
Take a peek at this thread viewtopic.php?p=1156216&hilit=Knife+books#p1156216 and you’ll be able to build your own library list and then you’ll know exactly what the look for. Hope this helps andPanzer2085 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 3:14 pm I'm relatively new to the collecting pocketknives and I'm in need of collector books to further my knowledge. Re: Books
I have a 1986 Goins’. Kinda hard to find and pricey. Would take $100 shipped. Seems a fair bit less than I found on online book sellers. PM if interested
You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.

Re: Books
What books are you looking for. I have many.
Will attach some pictures you can pm me. Just like the knives I have they all were out of my Dad’s collection. May be others on here can give you guidance which ones may be more helpful than others. I still have more also.
Thank you very much.

Re: Books
I’m looking for books for tang stamp identification and company history things of that nature. Just general information books for those knives I come across that I’m unsure of or for information on the knives I have. But actually I just realized that we’re coming up on Christmas so I’m going to have to hold out on making any expensive purchases right now. This year is flying by on me and I apologize but kids come first. Maybe after the New Year I’ll hit you guys up about the books if you still have them. Thank you.

Kids are always first nothing to apologize for. My better half and I are sitting here looking at old pictures of our 18 year old daughter. We are older parents, she’s off to boot camp. Talking about how she hopefully doesn’t not make the same faces at boot camp. Anyway don’t think my books are going anywhere fast. Some are not in the best condition.
If you have knives in question post pictures a bunch of these long time collectors will help you in a heartbeat. My father was the collector. I am the curator and liquidator for my siblings and I. Dad has been gone 16 years.
Welcome to AAPK.

Re: Books
Those are all good resources. There were more recent editions of most of them, but the information in them is still good. IMO the real prize in your group is Counterfeiting Antique Cutlery. There was only one edition published, they’re long out of print but the information in it is as fresh as if it was published yesterday.
Included among the photos of tang stamps is probably the best compilation of old Case tang stamps ever published.
