Old Knife ??
I have an old folding knife that has no markings visible, I found one on E-bay like it listed as a Coast Guard rope cutting knife, anyone who would know about it let me know and I can e-mail pics. I also have what I believe to be a navy or coast guard fixed blade knife, this blade has no markings but has the interrupted leather washer handle like a great western, and a blade that looks blue, can send pics of this also. I almost forgot around the guard of the fixed blade knife is a leather covering that has a seam around it as well that looks factory to me. thanks for any help. I am going to sell them, as I am interested in modern blades

Re: Old Knife ??
Doc,
It is easy to post pics here.
There are instructions at the top of each forum.
Lots of companies made rope knives & lots made them for the military.
We need pics to see what you have.

Make sure they're in jpeg format for posting. It's easy to change format through the File-"save as" routine.
Is the knife a single blade with a sheepfoot-like rope cutting blade and jigged wooden handles?
