Realizing that value is in the eye of the buyer and understanding that “worth” is a very relative term….
I picked this up from Fleabay a few years back and was wondering if it is worth more in the unopened box or does the “worth” lie in the fact that it’s a Tony Bose Swayback Gent?
Slight twist to the same old question….

I’m not sure unopened increases value, at least to me it doesn’t. I find it interesting that the born on date is 4 days before Father’s Day of the same yearEDC-Geek wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 12:06 am Realizing that value is in the eye of the buyer and understanding that “worth” is a very relative term….

I don't buy knives that I have not been able to get a good look at. Or at least some kind of look.

Ditto. I would be nice to see the knife that you want an opinion on.

The Swayback Gent is a nice little knife. You will enjoy it a heck of a lot more if you open the tin. The pleasure you get from the knife itself will far outweigh any minimal increase in value.

As stated above, I wouldn't buy a knife I couldn't see pictures of. Could be rust or a rock in there. But keeping the knife with the tin is important.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!
