Case Knife ID Please!

Post by Bulldawg37 »

Bought this knife years ago on Ebay, was looking to resell it. However the paperwork I kept on it had no description other than "Vintage Case Old Stamp Collectible". Looked up what I could online, however the tang stamp kinda looks like from 1920s to 1940s but the shield looks like mid to late era, not the same as the tang. I also can't find any knife online that looks like this 3 blade folding knife with a punch blade made by Case. Was trying to get a better description but the more I look into it the more I'm a little confused about it's details.

Sorry, looks like a counterfeit knife to me , possibly made with old kutmaster / Utica parts . Hopefully you don’t have too much invested in it .

Best thing you can do with that is drill a hole right thru the Case tangstamp. That will forever denote it as a fake. Don't just sell it off onto the next victim like some people would do.

Or if you really like the knife and want it in your collection/pocket, keep it as is. Just don't ever try to pass it off as a genuine Case. As aforementioned, hope you don't have too many $$$ tied up in this counterfeit.
