Wilmington Ohio NKCA show?
HI!
Anyone going to this Ohio show in September? I will be there Saturday morning and would love to meet up with some of the forum members.
By the way, none of the Pennsylvania knives will be available for sale until I have looked them over. OK, I can dream can't I. See ya gang!

Wilmington is near Dayton, about 3 1/2 hours from Cleveland. This is from the NKCA website:

HI!
you missed a wonderful show with LOTS of great stuff. They do it twice a year. Get a copy of Knife world and you can be up to date on the show dates. Also the NKCA site will help you to with their approved shows. Although many others are put on that they do not sponsor. See ya at the show.

went to wilington on Sat, advertised on web site that it was from Fri. thru Sun. Arrived at 2:00 and was informed that Sat. was last day. Web site said open til 6:00 on Sat. , was informed were closing at 4:00. one third of dealers were either packing up or had already left. Worst knife show that I ever attended , will never return, I have been attending this show for the last 5 yrs. NKCA needs to get their web site in order.

I am sorry that you had such a disappointing time.
You should contact NKCA and let them know of your dissatisfaction.
I currently do not belong but I would hope that they care about the people who come to these things. I was there early Saturday. I learned from my spring trip that it was Friday and Sat so I never looked at the NKCA web site. I went by Knife Worlds advertisement. It is never good for a collector to be this disappointed in something that we all look forward to. A loss no doubt, hopefully you will tell the righ people about it. Hope the next show you attend has that special peice that you have been looking for

The NKCA has been doing some bouncing around with their show durations
. They started doing two day shows this year to see if they could save money. Well, I guess most dealers didn't like it so they're headed back to three day shows starting next year. They also have built a new web site with updated information...here's the link http://www.nkcaknife.org/ They need to pull to old site down, just haven't yet.
On a side note, anytime you go to the last day of a show, make sure you get there early. Most of us have a long drive and start packing up just after noon. I realize the Norsefan had bad information and thought it was a three day event but, thought I should pass along the info about the last day of a show.
