Knife maker ID help please. Is this Kingston or ?

Post by Bigduck1 »

Hey there folks! Have another mystery knife I need a little help identifying. Picked up this 3 blade Cattle knife this past weekend at a rummage sale. The only Tang marking is USA on main Spear blade (which I had to round off a little because of breakage) Anyhow….it is very well made, solid everything. Super Strong pull/snap back springs. Two side Swedge grind on main. Single side Swedge grind on the Spey and a punch. NOT a hint of wobble , looseness anything! It is super solid. The punch is Crimped to fit to the side. Any thoughts or help with this always greatly appreciated!! Ready, Go! Thanks, Beck

Comparing to this old thread, it looks like one to me.

Kingston and Colonial were where my head was at as well. Do you have any thoughts on the USA with out the U.S.A. Dots? Does that lean it more one way or the other? Or does it send me a different direction? I get a bit confused by the whole Kingston mish mosh.

Kingston. It is identical in construction to Ulsters made in the 40's to 60's. Kingstons were basically rebranded Ulsters.
