SWORD BRAND

Post by Owd Wullie »

by Camillus. What is the story on that? I've got a scout knife with SWORD with crossed swords on the front side of the main blade and the old "4 line" Camillus marking on the back.

Just curious as to what, when, and why?

Thanks is advance,

Wullie, I think Camillus started the Sword Brand line around 1905, give or take a few years. I'm not sure if they aquired the name or started it themselves though. ::shrug::

I believe the scout knife production was started right after WWII, if yours is a utility knife, it may be older.

According to Tom Williams, the offical Camillus Company Historan before Camillus closed, the Sword Brand was always the best Camillus made. It was always the top of their lines.
