Can someone help me identify this?

Post by thetune »

I can't seem to have any luck identifying this knife. I was hoping someone here could help me out. Thanks in advance!

Made by Camillus I think around 2003 or thereabouts. Same pattern as the toothpick they made in the '70's for the American Wildlife Series.

Do the box and knife match? The box has Russell on it.

Yes they do match. There's even another sleeve that goes over the box and it's plain brown.

I'd say somewhere around $75 give or take twenty bucks. All depends on how badly someone wants it.

I agree with Eric's value, but the knife & the box don't match. The knife should have the RUSSELL etch and tang stamp.

It may be an overrun or an "end of days" knife, mismatched to the box. Yes the box is made for that pattern, but not that knife.

If the knife has the Russell tang stamp (I cannot make it out) then it may be an "end of days" knife that missed the etch.

Steve I believe that knife is an original. It appears to have the correct tang stamp and there does appear to be an etch, just very faint in the photo due to the glare.

Guys I'm positive that this box came with this knife because I know the old fella that bought it some years back and it's been in his collection ever since.

As you can see by the blade it does say Russell in the braid and on the blade. I guess it came from the factory with an extremely faint etching if that's what it's supposed to be. It's on there. Maybe you can see it I tried uploading it I hope it worked. Sorry guys I didn't mean to post the same picture twice.

This is the same knife you have. Your blade etch wasn't shown and that caused confusion. I see one of these on pic-click for $59. There are several of these if you search.
