Need help with date and history of Gilbert Seville Works Limited

Anyone have a date and background of this knife? Thank you!

I’d say that’s a fairly uncommon stamp. Goins’ Encyclopedia has three different stamps listed: Gilbert Saville Works Prussia, Gilbert Saville Works LTD., and Gilbert Saville Works LTD. Germany. Says c 1895-1939. All were trademarks used by Stauffer, Eshleman & Company which was a hardware firm located in New Orleans.
