Can someone please help with the age of this SHRADE 105T, i can't find a stamp exactly like this one to compare it to

Post by DeerslayerWNC1 »

Wondering if somebody could help me with a rough guess on how old this Old Timer SHRADE 105T Deer Slayer full tang knife is for me? Found it in some old hunting stuff of his and other things that hadn't been used since the 90s sometime the last time we went hunting. I've tried finding another stamp just like this one has online in hopes of trying to find out a more specific year hopefully of when it was probably made but can only find similar stamp's and none just like this one has exactly. I was born in 1985 and I'm pretty certain he had it before i came into this world, swear i remember him saying something about him getting it as a teenager or after highschool maybe. I could be wrong about that though. Any help would be greatly appreciated so so much, just wondering out of curiosity because i don't have much left that reminds me of him and this Old Timer and those hunting trips bring back about some of the best i loved as a kid but didn't realize how much more i would love now. Thanks in advance for any help if i even get any.

Was my dad's. Believe he might have bought it in the 70s or 80s

I think the stamp says, 15OT.

Correct. The model is a “fifteen oh-Tee” (for Old Timer).

I think the 15OT was made 1964-1997.

Yeah they were but i know a lot of people can tell by the way that the stamp looks on them of about how old they are as in around about what years they were using specific stamps in certain knives. But I've looked at idk how many pictures of these original ones online and yet to see another one with a stamping exactly like this thing.
