Al Mar SF-10
Hi, new boy here.
Does anyone know what method was used to fix the hollow handle on the SF-10 survival knife?
Or have any links where this info can be found?
Cheers!

I do not, but given the knurled knob looking pommel, it might be threaded.

Yeah, I was hoping it would be threaded and then epoxied. The blade has been silver soldered to the hilt,RobesonsRme.com wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:15 pm I do not, but given the knurled knob looking pommel, it might be threaded.
Which is always a sign of a well put together knife.
Thanks for your input

I look forward to learning about it.
I think the standard way is to insert a really short tang into the handle then peen it over, then solder at the guard. The solder isn’t really structural. More a seal.

Well, due to excessively draconian laws in the UK, DHL have refused to send this knife from the UK to South Africa.
Also this type of knife and others like it, will be banned totally, in that you can not even possess it in your own home.
I won't go into the politics of this, but in the case of the UK, there are far more people there who have no problem with
attacking others with knives, than there were ten years ago, but of course forget the root of the problem, just penalise
everybody else.
