Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 1:40 am Great to see you back QT!! That RRR Hedgehog I got from you has been a constant pocket companion in my marine upholstery work. It is perfect for cutting the heavy thread seams apart, to pattern the seats, etc. Many thanks to you again ... love it! ::handshake::
Glad to hear it, Tony. That Hedgehog is built for heavy duty work and it sounds like you found the perfect application for it. ::tu::
tvic wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 9:46 pm Great gift there, Q! Kudos to Iman for his generosity. Certainly hope you’re doing well, my friend!
Mahalo, Tim :) BTW--that Marbles you got from me had the second nicest rosewood I've seen on a knife. 8)
Ivoryman wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 9:34 pm So glad you like the knife and hope you get feeling better. ::super_happy::
Love the knife more and more...haven't used it to cut anything yet but it's such a pleasure to handle and so hard to put down. Thanks again, brother! ::handshake::

I'm sorry to hear you were ill, ~Q~, health issues are never fun, but happy to hear you're on the mend.
I'd noticed you were M.I.A., but figured you were just taking a break which is always refreshing.
Great "bomb" or even more appropriate "care package" from I-man, I'm certain plenty of thought went into his decision for your knife.
It feels good knowing you're appreciated and missed doesn't it, such things are more rare every day.
Glad you're back, bud! ::handshake::

OFFICIAL NEWS BULLETIN: Mammoth Ivory Carvings Bomb Hits Northeast Tennessee August 20 2024
An untrackable bomb hit the Corn Creek Cutlery knife store Tuesday August 20 at 11am. And awed!
Sources say that the owner is overwhelmed with Gratitude and Appreciation of the fine detail and craftsmanship exhibited in the carvings.
The bomb will be cherished and put on display, complimenting a collection of knives. ::nod:: More to come in a later edition...

IvoryMan ... many, many thanks for this. It is greatly appreciated. Your carvings are superb! ::handshake::

Well old CX3 can take it and he can give it. Iman's carvings are always a unique delight. And bitterness turned to sweetness for GSP...... wonderful on all accounts 👏.

Thanks for the kind words I-Man ::handshake:: ...This is a great example of what makes AAPK such a great place to hang out, aside from learning tons of information on knives, there are so many great members Like Corn Creek Cutlery, Marco, Toomanypocketknives, and of course you the "I-Man"

All of you, mentioned by name or not, have set the example over the past 20 years, for newer members like myself to follow. In a few words, AAPK is a good bunch to fall in or join up with. Friendship, generosity, knowledge sharing, and wit are just a few of the many good things found here. My experience has been nothing but great! Many thanks! ::marine_salute:: and ::handshake:: to you all!!

The dust is finally settling, I still can't hear or think straight from the concussion. It all started with an innocuous box from Kansas in my mail box. The return address was from a David, DM11 to be specific. In side was this absolutely gorgeous A Wright wooden handled Lambsfoot blade pocket knife. What a bomb! A lovely knife and even more thoughtful gift. I doubt I will carry it (to knice) but I will treasure it. Thank you David for your kindness.

D.L. .... you weren't the only one that had a bomb dropped on you!!! ::oh_my:: ... The 'Ol TopDog got blow'ed up too!!! ::skeptic:: ... like you, ::paranoid:: ... It all started with an innocuous box from Kansas in my mailbox. ::paranoid:: The return address was from a David, ::paranoid:: DM11 to be specific.... ::woot:: Inside was this absolutely gorgeous GEC #15 boy's knife, beautiful bone, perfect walk 'n talk, super tight blade, just awesome!

This was about a nice a gesture as one could ever hope for, especially when one considers how near impossible it is to pick up a GEC on the primary market. It is almost impossible to not to have to look for GEC on the secondary market, to get one. So, it was amazing for me to get this "Bomb dropped on me" Many, many, Thanks David!!! ::handshake::

GSp.....I feel your pain. Obviously this attack was well planned and executed. Fitting ordinance for each target. Not just a little drone attack but a missile with multiple war heads. I also feel your surprise, joy and appreciation. What a gracious bomber and what a gorgeous knife 🔪.
