Here's the latest in my orange collection.
This one is an Ontario and a model that I had never seen before. it came with a crappy nylon sheath so I made this kydex sheath today.

Sorry that photos are not very good, lighting was bad everywhere I tried.

I consider your Recon and similar CS productions to be exceptional values; a lot of powerful cutting available at a reasonable price.

Thanks QS! I love CS knives. The Japan made ones currently sell, depending on where, for 2-3 times what the Taiwan models sell for.
Got this one for a very reasonable price.

Cold Steel makes some good knives. Bang for the buck I can't say anything bad about this Bushman. It's an inexpensive do what you need it to do kinda' tool. Pretty close to indestructible. I keep one in the Jeep along with a small hatchet among other tools.

That's actually a spear-tip, isn't it, Charlie? At least that's how I've seen them marketed. ::hmm:: ::shrug::

It's a large wicked sharp knife with a hollow handle made of a single piece of steel. You can use it as a camp knife. You can put a short handle on it and use it as a machete. You can put a long handle on it and use it as a spear. I'm pretty sure you could use it as a tent stake and not do it any harm. I bought this one after they changed the sheath. The original was a canvas sheath which I like but this one came with the hard plastic sheath and a fire starter. Ya can't beat it for about 35 bucks, a very useful piece of steel.

I like the new sheath Sas! ::tu:: ..... ::hmm:: I have one of the older ones with the nylon sheath. I like kydex much better. I remember when they 1st came out, they were ridiculously cheap to buy. I also have a C.S. S.F. shovel and with the Bushman, as a team those two items make a great combo to stash in your vehicle. ::nod::
