Is there a knife you WON'T buy?

I'm actually quite picky in what I buy, but 1 thing I for sure will not even consider under any circumstances ... CELLULOID. I've had my heart broke too many times to play that game ever again.

Hmmm, most Chinese, Pakistan brands.

The Case Russlock. I'm sure it's a fine knife, it just never appealed to me...ever.

Sunfish/elephant toe pattern. Just seems like it would be not be an ideal EDC (for me, anyways)

I go pretty much Queen. Wont consider any China made even tho Ive seen some nicer ones. I prefer nothing from China but thats nearly impossible so thats the line for me.If I need a cheap EDC I use a old Queen beater. I do use a couple old Case which are great but I wouldnt consider a newer Case.

I do not buy knives made in China or Pakistan. (Some look real nice, but this is my personal choice.)

I do not buy tactical knives.

I do not buy knives with fake Stag.

I do not buy knives with broken or damaged blades or backspings. Not every knife I buy has "full" blades, or blades that are scratch and tarnish free, but blades in good shape are important to me.

I do not buy small (3.5" or less) knives.

I do not participate in the "feeding frenzy" of knife drops.

I rarely buy knives with "Club" or "Commemorative" blade etches or handle embellishments. A possible exception for Clubs I am a member of, or events commemorating significant dates in USA history (e.g.: Pearl Harbor, D Day, or September 11, 2001). I wish Clubs would make the knife unique or special in and of itself, and save the verbiage for the written COA.

I rarely buy knives made in Japan.

I rarely buy knives with synthetic handle covers.

I often buy knives I don't need or want to help out a friend in a money crunch. And sometimes I give them back to them later.

Spyderco. I don't question their quality. There are too many glowing reviews. IMHO, they are overpriced and simply butt ugly. YMMV

well, I think it's ugly, not as ugly as some other Spyderco offerings, but still ugly

The handles on that one are better than most and don't look particularly cheap. I would bet that, at least to my way of thinking, it is way overpriced.

Those pakistani wood handle lockbacks .....them things are nasty. I do end up with them on occasion...

Gtrclktr.... You might be on to something... in a subconscious way .... I used to buy new Spydercos all the time years ago .... and now I haven't bought a new one in years.... so, in my subconscious I am saying "overpriced" .... voting on the price with my wallet so to speak...
