It looks from the catalogs that they started using the imitation winterbottom from around 1970. Here is a great resource. Lots of original catalogs. Knock yourself out!

Mostly syntheic I think. Winterbottom quit making Winterbottom bone in the 60's if I remember correctly.

Thanks Ike! Here is a new Stockman from another guy's pile....and right into my pile... another Queen #9 I had to choose over another #9 from the 60's but the one from 78' was in much better condition....

Picked up this beautiful medium stockman made by Queen for Robeson. The stag on this one made me keep it for my stockman collection. Thought I would revive this thread since it’s been dormant for awhile. I’m sure there have been a lot of stockman’s that have been purchased since this last post.
