It looks from the catalogs that they started using the imitation winterbottom from around 1970. Here is a great resource. Lots of original catalogs. Knock yourself out! :D

Mostly syntheic I think. Winterbottom quit making Winterbottom bone in the 60's if I remember correctly.

Thanks Ike! Here is a new Stockman from another guy's pile....and right into my pile... another Queen #9 I had to choose over another #9 from the 60's but the one from 78' was in much better condition.... ::hmm::

Picked up this beautiful medium stockman made by Queen for Robeson. The stag on this one made me keep it for my stockman collection. Thought I would revive this thread since it’s been dormant for awhile. I’m sure there have been a lot of stockman’s that have been purchased since this last post.
