Nice find Scott! GITS was a prolific maker of advertising knives, many were push-button sliders. Don’t see as many of their razors.

This advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife. was included in a large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. This particular pocket knife was NOT the reason for my purchase. It is a GITS, one blade (razor), two blade stamps, 2 1/2" closed, advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front stamp says "GITS RAZOR-NIFE" The main blade back stamp says "MADE IN U.S.A. PAT" The main handle side says "EARL HENKE - BEN JONES CO. RE 9-2370 - 1719 LINWOOD-OKLA. CITY" The other handle side says nothing, it is blank. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It needed very little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

This advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket razor, was included in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. This particular pocket razor was NOT the reason for my purchase. However, it turned out to be a keeper and it did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a GITS, one razor blade, two blade stamps, 2 1/2" closed, advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket razor. The main blade front stamp says, "REFILLABLE-NIFE" The main blade back stamp says, "GITS CO. CHI." The main handle side says, "MEAD'S OLEUM - PERCOMORPHUM 50%" The other handle side says, "MEAD'S COD LIVER OIL - FORTIFIED WITH - PERCOMORPH LIVER OIL" Overall, this pocket razor is in GOOD condition. It required very little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

When did these GITS knives first come out?

Here’s one, gifted to me by my father-in-law, from our hometown.

I think it reads:
D.M. Fuller
Bx. 1626
Danville, VA 24541
I am not sure how old this is, who Mr. Fuller was, nor why he had an advertising GITS
