This one came yesterday:
Rigid RG14 ... 5" Closed ... 8 5/8" OAL ... Made in Japan
This knife features a unique liner lock. By sliding the thumb tab on the bolster up, as pictured, the liner lock will be free to move. Next, you depress the shield inward, which moves the liner over to disengage the blade. If the bolster tab is in the down position, the liner is locked, for safety while using. The shield will not depress. These and the RG15 model were also made with "Operation Desert Storm" on the blade, and were serial numbered.

Looks like you were a super model back in the day to me doglegg. Straight out.
Couple just in from Corn Creek Rose Craft man Tony. Thank you bud, really impressed. The blue Tdrop spear, and Rosewood French Broad are the new ones, and pretty smooth operators. Fit and finish top notch, centered, sweeeeeeeeet buttery action, walk and talk, juicy, delicious bones, and grainy wood. A+ everything. Definitely worth the price and a clam happy customer. Thanks again Tony.
just threw in the others for scale and family group shot.

I have a somewhat similar big Rigid linerlock with a unique blade release system, you press in on the shield and that's how the liner is shifted for closing, it's different and pretty cool. I guess my model skips the tab-lock step and goes right to the depressing the shield. It doesn't even have the tab-lock feature.
Great new knife, buddy.

Hey thanks bud, kind of you to say. But CCC should get most of the credit. I never knew of R Craft until he bombed me. And then he sold me a couple and so impressed me that I wanted another. Very well made knives and Tony bombs with excellent payloads. Great guy, great knives, great to learn about and now enjoy them because of him. And thanks for the nice words bud. I do appreciate it Marco.

Thanks Mark! I see the "Desert Storm" models on the bay, with a few there now. I had to pay a good price for this one, but I wanted the condition, unetched blade, box, etc., which seems to be harder to find. I will keep watch for another.Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2024 10:50 amThat’s a beautiful knife Tony. My kind of knife. As far as I know, these knives come to Bulgaria as part of locksmith tool sets. I guess the awl is for drawing on sheet metal and for cleaning chips from cut or drilled parts.

I scored this Schatt and Morgan gunstock from Mark at SSK. Nice thick stag scales. Thanks Mark!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I've been battling with myself about purchasing this knife for a few months now, and just recently the good guys won the battle! It actually took the help of a good AAPK buddy to finally get this piece.
9" Stan Moizis linerlock auto with a 4mm S30V needle-point blade, 1/8" Titanium fileworked liners, 5-Rib carbon fiber covers, and exposed rocker Titanium firing button. Strong action via it's 4mm leaf-spring, followed by tight lock-up every time and zero play in all directions. A little up in price, but definitely worth it, to me anyway.
Stan makes some really cool knives you might wish to check out, if you an find any that is, they are very rare knives. He also designed the Boker "Dogleg" auto with it's unique opening system I posted previously, and he holds a patent for a Benchmade/Pardue design.
