hi i am dave and i collect the 110 here is a link to part of my collection
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a399/ ... %20knives/
yes your knife was made in 1984 and sold for a few years
the pewter inlay was done by a custom belt buckle company
both the eagle and deer show 2500 as produced
many do not know that buck often reserves XXXX serial numbers
but does not produce that full ammount
i have not seen any with a 2xxx number..
not to say they are not out there
but in my time i have not seen one
i have 3 of the 4 types made
and more then one of the deer and eagle
there are at least two other pewter handles that were made
mount rushmore and a construction company logo's
mount rushmore is hard to find and is in demand
construction company is kind of mixed desired knife
the knife boxes should have the sliding plastic window
and on the end were the window comes out
Should BE a block that fits on the end
if this is not there it takes away a lot from vlaue to collectors
it is a nice knife and when used the pewter will darken in the recesses
it is also possable that you can get the materal rub off on your hands also
the pewter is easly dented and can not be buffed out ..
most the blades are custom stamped
i have seen some with 4 dots and no sn also
these may be over run handles sold in the company store
it is a nice collectible i had one with rust comeing out from the blade
they used 425M as the steel for them ..
buck replaced it ..
prices on these went up two years ago
but lately have depressed as have many..
can not tell you an estimate as have not seen any for sale in 6 mos
last i seen sold for the 50 range but they should sell for 70
some will say more .. my guess is for now id the 50 range..
hope this helps
