most of my Schatts

Schatt & Morgan knives were first manufacturer back in 1890. The Queen Cutlery company made most of the more recent examples, but Schatt had its own plant in its earlier years that cranked out the oldies. There is no shortage of fantastic Schatt & Morgan knives in existance that have been made over the brand's long & storied history.

Beautiful knives! Among the best, if not the best, ever made by Queen. ::tu::

Also in agreement. I wish the abalone toothpick wasn't in the shadow. Although even shaded it looks outstanding.

Have better photo of the pearls somewhere, will look. Im choosy about my pearls, no fire, no go with me!
Its pretty common to hear that the Schatts are tops. but when I compare them to the Robesons and winchesters and Case classices Queen produced I cannot discern any difference in quality. in fact some Winchesters, and maybe others are the same exact knife as the case classics but with different tang stamps. Lots of unkown little bits about Queen. Thats what is great about the Pleasantville show. Guys like David kraus, fred fisher, dan lago and Bill Howard are there and they love talkin knives. Also a few locals who frequented the Queen knife shop weekly. Bob Siple, sales manager and a few old employees are also in attendance. GREAT info available. I go for that as much as to grab up some knives.

Something bill H told me the other day. Tony Bose approached Queen before he went to Case. Queen turned him down. And he never saw any filework done at Queen while he was there. other stuff as well but I wont repeat on the web. Nuthin real juicy! just interesting.
