The shield is definitely what caught my eye when I saw it. Here’s a pic of it open. It has half stops on the pen and coping blade but not the large spear main. Online it looked more cigar pattern like but in hand it seems to have a slight Sleeveboard taper to the 2 blade end.

Very nice rdnzl, love the scales on that one and that dog bone shield. The cigar whittler looks very nice.

Got in an A.G. Russell Jess Horn designed lockback. Made in Seki Japan. Black Micarta handles. Seamless run up on the blade and backspring. Beautiful blade design.

DK, the Savage Creek Gunstock is the only spade shield currently .... but Monday July 15, a new release will be available with a spade shield also.
It is called the Sequatchie River Muskrat I have them in stock, and will upload a listing here early Monday morning.

I cannot make them avaiable until RoseCraft releases them also, on Monday morning. They are strict concerning us all releasing new knives at the same time. I can offer you a preview, which is a RCB stock photo. I will put my photos up Saturday evening, after I get back from a festival I am selling at.
That’s sweet - my fav so far, I think the RC knives look awesome, never held one - I’ll rectify that soon.

DK, my apologies, I did not get the photos done yesterday. I was worn out after being in the sun all day, selling at a festival. I will have the new ones uploaded and available late tonight.

First two are the Sequatchie River Muskrat.
Second two are the French Broad Jack Black Sandalwood.

I agree on the Yankee comment, but I’m afraid Johnny Reb is out of fashion these days. Southerland born and raised, but you got to take what you can get.

Well you are sure right 'bout that! I was born in a part of the Confederacy and on an anniversary called "the 7 flags" they can only fly 6 flags these days... if'en you know what I mean?... ::paranoid:: You see even if something really happened and it is a part of history (such as depicted on a historic commemorative knife), we would not dare think about harming the precious little snowflake's feeling .... now, would we? ::shrug::
