Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
Ken, you and I seem to travel the same handgun pathways at about the same time…since we think a like does that mean we have great minds?
This followed me home today. I took a handgun to the lgs that I just couldn’t get along with. When he told me how he’d trade I almost came across the counter and hugged his neck.
Ruger GP100 Lipsey’s Exclusive. 357, 4.2” barrel.
I haven’t put it on paper and dialed the sights in, but my youngest and I did some plinking with 38 special and two different 357 loads this evening (his first time shooting a handgun). It’ll shoot better than I can make use of. And it’s very mild mannered with heavier loads. I think it’ll stay!
Now if I can just get hold of a 3” like Ken did.

I have 2 GP100s, a 6 inch stainless, and a 4 inch target Grey. I wouldn't trade them for any other DA 357 Mag.

I had been waiting patiently (or not) to be able to get my hands on the 7 and 1/2 inch barrel Ruger Wranglers with the grey frame. My local gunshop was able to get one recently. I had to immediately make a holster as I had nothing to fit a barrel that long. The holster pattern I used is a Mexican double loop with saddle tan Fiebing dye. Truly the Single Action Army of rimfire revolvers, and it shoots great too.

Great looking shooters gentlemen! The GP100 I had was gifted to my son in NC, I sorta miss it. I should visit soon. Nice single shot FB rifle. Is that a Stevens?

Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
I have spent the last few days finishing up a new rig for carrying all the things necessary when I go to the range. I made all the leather except the belt. The belt is a commercial Hunter 2 inch with 25 cartridge loops for 22 LR, (no way I am making and hand stitching that one). Holster is a Mexican double loop for the Wrangler Single Action Army, holster for the Bond Rawhide derringer, and a previously made Green River knife (handled with ironwood), and sheath, The ammo pouch to the right of the holster works perfectly for loading out one at a time for the single shot rifle shown or 2 at a time for the SAA.

OLDE CUTLER, your leather work looks perfect! Looks like you're all set for anything that crosses your path.
You need to buckle on your new rig, pick up the rifle and show us how it looks while at the ready.
