Nice, John. You visited the highest point in your state, and my wife and I were at the lowest point in Illinois yesterday. We briefly stopped by the Southernmost tip where the Ohio and Mississippi come together, elevation 279'. I neglected to pull out my knife and get a picture.

You reminded me Ike. I spent a couple of hours outside Cairo. I walked across the bridge then walked along the riverbank. I understood that drinking from the Mississippi/Ohio was a bad idea but I suffered no harm. I was 17 at the time.

Out here in my office today with my two biggest sons and this fine new addition to my rotation. It's a rescue knife that a knife pen pal of mine who has become a great friend worked on and and sent to me. I'm proud to carry his handy work, and it's about the sturdiest Imperial I've had the pleasure of carrying. It's about 72 here in the shade. Gentle breeze. Feels good to be alive.

Helping a friend do a cleanup after a mini tornado came through and blew, the entire yard all over the place. I was kneeling down about to cut the cord of the humidifier to recycle it. Well, you can see in the picture, the tarp in the background and you can see my knife and the cord I am about to cut... now look closely at the background, where I was kneeling about 10" (inches) from the tarp.....
