Some Camillus brands:( just as an aside:) Camco, Mumbly Peg, Sword, Fairmount, Syracuse, Clover, Corning, Farragut, Silver Sword, Stainless Cut. Co., Stream-Line, and probably more. Additionally, Camillus jobbed knives for many of the smaller brands and the major hardware outlets like Sears, HSB, Shapleigh, dime-stores, and many more.
As for the game here, I like to post a Camillus-made knife with it's own mark and hope for the specific answer. It's more fun that way. JMHO

That is fine with me. what is the answer on this one? I consider Sword Brand synonymous with Camillus, a little different than Syracuse et al.

I don't know blades ( except some farmers jacks) and punches , I usually see a shield or bone or look. I've noticed that is a typical Camillus shield , although some others used it.

Sword brand. This is the one. Ill post close ups of the tang when i get home. It's stamped both sides. Btw thanks for posting the info on Bridge. I didn't know much about that one, another recent acquisition.

I honestly don't have an educated guess, but i love the rectangle shield with the crimped bolsters. Dripping with style.

Thanks, I think . I've got about 28 more years, but with the direction this world is going, I'm sometimes glad to be old.

It's called a bar shield and I believe initially it was used not only for decoration, but was functional for monogramming the knife.

I think it's a simple classic and for some reason it looks good with all the curves on a farmers jack.

As per Levine, you can date that c.1916-1919 when they stopped their German imports during WWI. I wonder who actually made it. There's some old posts on AAPK that mention Schatt and Morgan and a person named David Clark as a good source. (Before my time here.). Your scratch-out left enough of the shape to let me guess the mark. That tight circle isn't found on too many brands. She's a beauty, and rare. You sure do have 'em! I'll get one up soon. O'.
