Imperial Knife- Puzzled about blade configuration.
At first glance when I picked this camp/utility knife up I thought the tip was broke off the primary blade. Then upon closer inspection, it does not look like a cutting blade but a screw driver tipped electricians blade.. kind of?? So the primary would be the sheepfoot blade?? It also has a can opener and a cap lifter? I am just confused??? Can someone please enlighten me! Am I just seeing things that aren’t really there? I know that the knife was made 55-88 or somewhere there about! Any help would be great!

I wouldn’t pretend to know for sure, but to me it looks like someone shaped the bottle opener into a Phillips head screwdriver and the main blade into flat head screwdriver.
My brother once told me of a friend of his that intentionally tipped and flattened the main blades of his knives because he liked having a flat head driver handy.

I have seen and probably have one in in my hoard. They were made that way. It looks like the caplifter/ screwdriver blade is damaged. Hope this helps.

Wow, I’d never thought that both blades would be factory shaped like that. That’s really cool.

Great replies, and a special thanks to Skip for the research and the link!
I do not recall seeing these before, and believed at first that the blades had been broken and reprofiled.

Well, I’ll be danged! I thought I was losing my mind for a minute cause I was arguing with myself about the blades!! Anyway, I do appreciate the knowledge and your assistance with uncovering the truth about this knife! I have not decided if I am going to add it to my pc or not. I like out of the ordinary items so I may just keep it for a bit! Thank y’all again! If I can help y’all …”just sing out, and we will slap hot iron to it” Clint Eastwood-Outlaw Josey Wales.
