Re: Daddy Barlow?
The knife is a Robeson daddy Barlow. Not sore why the mark side bolster looks to have a cut out in it but I doubt it is a normal factory feature.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Daddy Barlow?
Seems like I have a Robeson put away somewhere that has a bolster lock. It’s not a granddaddy though, I think mines a toothpick. But could this be a bolster lock missing the soldered button?

I don't think it was a bolster lock, I believe those were in the front edge like a liner lock.
Might be a factory sample knife with the bolster and liner cut away to see how the spring and tang line up when the blade is in the open position.
