I'm watching it, no intent on buying. That is certainly unique! I don't know if it is correct or not. Looks like an OLD head-spinner mark at 11:00 to the rocker pin. You can see it with the picture enlarged.

Someone tried to buy it early for $50.00. I like it BUT I don't know the answer on that one. I hope someone does come up with an answer - I'll look in my books. Interesting!

Well, I had the chance to examine this knife first hand last weekend. I have been in this shop many times in the past. The dealer is reputable and honest. The knife is in the condition he found it in.

Upon first hand inspection I found the knife had all blades marked Ulster Knife Co., all from the same era and with an even patina on all blades. It did not look to be altered, at least not recently.

The unusual saw blade was what I examined carefully, I found very little clearance between the blade and the backspring when closing, If you looked closely you could see how the tip was rounded over so it would clear the spring, it was done long ago and did not appear to have been done at the factory. There is a very good posibility that blade was replaced, many years ago by someone.

I have never seen this pattern in any old literature from Ulster, nor have I seen any other maker produce this pattern. However, this does not mean it was not produced by Ulster or other knife makers, just never seen one.

None of the blades had any snap, the pen blade was heavily worn and the spear blade was chipped. The handles had a couple tiny cracks.

Interesting old knife, sold for a lot of money IMO
