You said, "will be", Kerry, but I believe he's finished the mod, hence "Modification complete". It's my OCD acting up, buddy.
Sorry man, you should try living inside my head sometime!
I think he made changes to the blade, as well as swapping out a "Headdress" coin for a "Buffalo-head" coin, at least that's all I can see.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I see why you thought the blade was modified , but it was just the difference in lighting and background. Only removed the Indian head “medallions” and replaced them with 1930s buffalo nickels. Simple and quick, but IMHO it improved the look of the novelty knife.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This Koi Magpie just arrived in the mail from Australia. It was purchased through a Kick Starter fundraiser and I am pleased with the results.
Knife Specs
Blade Length: 87mm | Overall Length: 206mm | Folded Length: 118mm | Blade Thickness: 2.5mm | Weight: 129g | Steel Type: 12c27n (Swedish Steel)
As a Kick Starter bonus, I also signed up for the Koi Crow, and look forward to receiving that in a few weeks.
Apparently, Koi will continue with the Australian bird-themed knives as I see another is being offered via Kick Starter.
First impression.
The knife is beautiful and blends the resin into stainless steel on the sides. The blade opens briskly with only a flip of the flipper on the spine. The cut out nail knotch looks great and provides enough purchase for thumb opening. The blade is beautifully ground and very sharp, and appears to follow the sharpening Koi's kitchen knives are known for.

Great pair, Dog!
I was recently bombed a "Big Chief" just like yours that I'm quite happy with.
The Cousin is nice too, I like sodbuster patterned knives cuz they're so simple yet solid.
Good score, bud!
