That's a little scary! So you are saying ammo I loaded 2 years ago is likely to have squib loads and get a bullet stuck in my barrel?

What kind of powder did you have issues with? What calibers?

I have always used Goex. Brand. The newer powder seems to be even fresh out of the new jar made with a different type of formula than the Goex bought back in the late 80 -90 period .I have a replica . .45 - 90 That I bought at a garage sell for 20$ back in 1980 .The man said it was a kit gun but to much for him to handle .My bother keeps the gun now hanging in his living room .we take it down almost every thanksgiving to have a shooting contest along with His double barrel 8 gauge goose gun .It is more like a macho man act of bravery .

Wow Dogg and Ken! What you have stated in the last few posts is not surprising but still stunning. Sad news Brothers.

If I had enough cash, I could clear the ammo shelves at the LGS or hardware/ gun store. Literally. Pallet in the back of the truck. Not kidding.

We’re doing OK in Iowa, in recent years passed constitutional carry. No bans on high capacity magazines Des Moines tried some stuff on a city bases a few years but it was quickly tossed. Switchblades/automatics are legal.
But with Illinois and Minnesota for neighbors we need to hold tight. Minnesota is becoming the state of Minneapolis with the metro area having the upper hand in the state legislature. Sad for what was one of my favorite places.

I don't recommend my area they are throwing up these cracker box houses and apartments buildings as fast as they can. We do have open carry and about any knife is okay. ::handshake::

That's how it works in Maryland, everything is dictated by the Baltimorons. Glad I left, but Virginia, especially Northern Virgina, has become a congregating place for tech savvy Commiefornians who ruined things there and have come here to do the same. ::cuss::

The next Knife and gun show in Conway Arkansas is June 7th and 8th .I will be attending on the 8th .I mostly go just to look for vintage knifes . This trip will be to see what the general consensus of those buying and selling have regarding The A.T .F . Raid in little Rick and the death of Brain Malinmoski’s who attended and always had a table set up selling guns at the show .Anyone who buys and sells guns at a gun show should be alarmed at what transpired here in my home state .Im posting the latest new feed from the incident as a caution to sellers and buyers of guns at gun shows not to stir up debate . I ask anyone who may have a response to this post to do so in a respectful manner .

As a 33 year licensed FFL this is my take on the Brian Malinmoski situation.
Yes, he was acting as a firearms dealer without a license and should have been charged.
Yes, a search warrant should have been issued for firearms in his possession and whatever records he had of his purchases and sales.
Yes, he was more than a “collector “
He knew he was under investigation and surveillance. IF he didn’t realize that he was pretty dense.
What went down that fateful morning, so far I have no opinion. Nobody was totally in the right.

I’m not a bit worried about that happening to me. Any FBI/ATF visit to me will be at my place of business during business hours.

I'm not worried either, I'm not a dealer, it every case where governments go after guns, they always start with dealers. I have only sold / traded one firearm in the last 30 years, and that went to an FFL holder.

First, I apologize for my previous comment.
One last comment in regard to the above posts. I wish the AFT WOULD show up at my store. The original intent of the Gun Control Act of 1968 was that every licensed firearms dealer would be inspected by the ATF at least once every 5 years. This NICS system went into effect in 1998. I have had 1 (ONE) such inspection/audit and it was over 25 years ago, prior to the NICS system. It would be nice to know if my paperwork/bookkeeping is totally in compliance.
