maybe they lost their audience Cudgee ::shrug:: I quit trying to play therapist here ::hmm:: When we strengthened the eligibility requirements to enter the monthly knife giveaway we lost half of our monthly participants - the half we lost could easily become eligible to participate but I guess they choose not to ::shrug:: I think the anonymity of online forums makes for an interesting dynamic ::handshake::

I restrained from getting from getting Chinese knives for a long time but in the last year I've acquired a few I have to say for the price the quality is definitely outstanding of the examples that I have. The Kizer Mini Grouper and the Real Steel Sacra are a couple of my favorites

I wonder if you would have a better understanding of the quality after prolonged use and sharpening.
I know nothing of Chinese knives, so again, I'm just wondering. ::hmm::

I wish there was an easy way I could determine the steel used (vs. claimed) and Rockwell hardness in overseas knives but there isn’t so the leap of faith in advertising continues.
