First off I want to say sorry if this is not the correct place to ask this question.
I am new here , and it's really cool seeing what you guys talk about and post about.
I picked up this knife for three dollars.
All it says on the blade is "Camilus New York USA"
Does anyone know the name of this blade?
Did I get a good deal?
Need help identifying a knife!

YES, you got a great deal on a good knife !
Blades are typically called a clip (larger) and coping (smaller)

I'm not sure that knife had any kind of name. The woodcraft model (with wood handles) was the 881 but I'm not sure what this one was numbered.

Re: Need help identifying a knife!
Jake,
Take a look and maybe post that knife on the Camillus Cutlery Collector's Forum* Just scroll down through the Knife Forum and look for UNITED STATES MADE KNIFE FORUMS. There you should see Camillus Cutlery Collector's Forum. Lots of knowledgeable folks on the forum (excluding me of course
*(The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.)
