Great Bombs everyone! Always knice to see the kindness of so many here on the forum...

Here is an unexpected and greatly appreciated Bomb I recently received from ol' Q, who just can't seem to help himself sometimes. He had listed a few knives for sale and, of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to add a few more to the hoard. But to my surprise, when I got the package, I noticed there was one more knife than I had purchased. ::woot:: The additional "Bomb" was this Wicked looking Zippo rough black synthetic Mini-T with the Lansky mod. spike blade to go with the other Lansky Zippo 6107 Carver & Muskrat Ratcliffe mods I had purchased. Man, I'm gonna have to be careful with this one. That spike blade has one of the sharpest tips I've ever seen.

A big Mahalo to Q, for his continuous generosity and just being an overall great dude. ::handshake::

Took a major retaliatory strike from Kevin (knifeaddict1965) today that left me speechless and dumbstruck with awe. That's right, all my communications systems were rendered inoperable due to incoming awesomeness. Could barely gasp and sputter as my overwhelmed brain tried to wrap itself around the unbelievable generosity that rained down upon me in the form of this stunning Queen ACSB #40 Gunstock Jack flown in all the way from the Crossroads of America to the Paradise of the Pacific. That's some serious long distance Hoosier-style reverse aloha unlike any that has ever been seen, experienced or documented previously in modern history.

Kevin, what can I say (remember, I'm speechless!) other than a very big, huge, massive, eternally-expanding in all directions and dimensions simultaneously MAHALO!!! This is me >>> ::super_happy::

Doglegg Floyd got me good!!

First, a little background on this traveling knife. Back 3 or 4 years ago, Floyd posted a somewhat rough multi tool knife that he had picked up. I also had a somewhat rough multi tool knife that had lain in a box for 30 some years. I had picked it up from the son of the original owner. It had a broken blade, and 1 jaw of the pliers was busted. It had been hanging around in a barn for who knows how many years prior to me aquiring it.

Anyway, from what I could see from Floyd's post, the 2 knives could probably make 1 decent knife in the right hands. I contacted Floyd, and sent my knife his way with no strings attached, other than emphatically noting that I wanted nothing in return. He, in turn, sent both knives off to Glennbadd for him to work his magic. He did great work of course, and returned the finished product to Texas.

So, here it is a couple of years later. I was pulling a couple of my grandkids in the wagon the other day, and I see the mail carrier put a small box in my mailbox. I began wondering what my wife had ordered this time, but after retrieving and opening the box, I got a big surprise. The multi tool knife had come full circle, from Illinois to Texas, to New Hampshire, back to Texas, then back to Illinois. Thank you Floyd, it was a great surprise and your generosity is much appreciated. I will only add that you better keep your eyes on the sky because sooner or later, I will reciprocate!

Big congrats. Thats a sweet piece now that Glen has worked it over. And what a nice gesture and all by Floyd. Love reading stories of cooperatin and kindness from guys on here to a friend across the country or continent who probably never met in person, but were brought together by AAPK. Excellenge gents. Way to go doglegg, great stuff.

The generosity was on Ike's part to begin with. And the knife has a history there with him. It was a constant companion on my desk for a while and I thought I would repay the favor. Glennbad did a great job on it. Ike, you gave it to me to begin with, along with a little stockman knife so I'm still ahead. Hope you enjoy it as much as much as I have. Thanks again. ::handshake::

I received an incredible "Bomb" gift yesterday afternoon. ::super_happy::
Apparently C-WADE7 was so impressed with the box of POS I sent him that he had an overwhelming desire to respond.
Well my return gift is the exact opposite of POS.
It's a C-Wade original. Not a knife, but in this case even better.

The detail is astonishing. It's a hand made & artist signed beautiful piece of art.
Dated '24 but I could not imagine the actual time it would have take to make this little guy.
Probably a year or so at least. It's so good I am afraid to have it out on display.
But I know just where it can go & remain safe, I am going to re-gift it my son the Eagle Scout.
(which I probably think was his intent when he sent this)
I am overwhelmed with gratitude & could not begin to thank you enough. ::not_worthy::

A heartfelt Thank You is all I can say.

I glad you like it, it was a fun little project and one I’m going to need to do a few more of for boys in my Troop. It was about a 4 day turn around working in the evenings after work. I just finished up another little project I will post in the woodcarving thread.

New_Windsor_NY wrote: Wed May 24, 2023 5:30 pm This Statue Of Liberty anniversary pocket knife arrived in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. It now becomes the latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It is a TAIWAN, one blade, two tang stamps, a blade etch, 4 1/4" closed, lockback, pocket knife. The main blade etch says "1886 - 1986" with an image of the torch between the dates. The main blade front tang stamp says "857692" The main blade back tang stamp says "STAINLESS (over) TAIWAN" The main handle side has a Statue Of Liberty scale and also has the 1886 - 1986 dates on it. The scale on the other handle side is missing. Still, it is in EXCELLENT condition. It needed no cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

tnorton wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 2:00 am I may have the other scale - funny it was in some of my fathers things and for some reason i kept it - no knife
New_Windsor_NY wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:38 pm It does look like it would fit. I looked at the same knives on eBay and there are MANY.
They are definitely NOT expensive knives. But, it would be nice to have both scales.
tnorton wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 1:46 am i will send it to you message me with address - Clint
A very special THANK YOU goes out to tnorton for sending me the missing scale for this pocket knife. ::tu:: ::tu::
Now, one Statue Of Liberty is gold tone and the other Statue Of Liberty is silver tone. This does NOT bother me.
So.....THANK YOU, tnorton!!🍻 ::handshake::
