S&W model 66, I shoot it better than any other gun I own

This model 360j is the smaller frame size like Paladin’s model 60. I need more practice with it
Those are great! I have a 4” 65. I completely understand about shooting it better than anything you own. Mine is the same way. It even makes me look like a decent shot, and that’s no small task.

Here are my last two acquisitions. A Smith & Wesson snubby in 357 mag and a Colt Cobra snubby also in 357 mag. The S&W is clean as can be so I'm guessing minimal usage. The Cobra has never been fired. I sure have a hard time passing on these stainless snubbys.

I’m going to ramble a bit, I do like to talk guns and own way more than I need ::shrug::
If a person could only own 1 handgun, what should it be? My vote would be a S&W revolver, K frame, 38/357. Model 19 or 66. Easy for a beginner to learn, reliable, suitable for self-defense and hunting small critters up to and including deer, always ready(no slide or safety to deal with)
The naysayers will come with “only 6 rounds”. But if you are a decent shot you don’t need more.
I’ll also give some love to the 1911 platform, I own 3 in different calipers, I need more practice with them.
Any Colt snake guns lovers here? My late hubby had an original Python that had been thru the Colt Custom shop and it was a pure joy to shoot. Unfortunately he sold it before the prices went crazy. When the new production came out I bought one, just can’t find any love for it. If Colt comes out with the DiamondBack again I might try it.
Yes, I guess I’m “old school”. I just can’t warm up to the currently popular “plastic fantastiics”.
Geez, I didn’t try to write a book!
All comments are welcome.

I only own two handguns and my wife owns one.

Mine are both 5-shot .38 Special revolvers. Hers is a .22 long rifle semi auto.

I bought four raffle tickets for a drawing to be held in October. First place gets the choice of a Springfield Armory Hellcat or a Smith & Wesson Equalizer. Second place gets the leftover prize.

I’d be dancin’ in the streets to win either one of those but I’m a revolver guy at heart.

By far my best shooter is a 66-1 in 6”..Even carry it for Deer season if I let a deer with in thirty yards the .357 will get the call. BUT for edc the Sig gets the call😎

This Ruger GP100 6 inch 357 works for me with the Bianchi X15L shoulder holster.

My 'old reliable' is a S&W 686 but too big for edc. Also with Bianchi leather. It is a dandy!

Yes, a wake up call. Don’t sell hundreds of guns without a Federal Firearms License.
I have followed the story since the beginning, he knew he was in violation of federal firearms laws. Who fired first? Honestly , I don’t know but likely the end result would have been the same.

I guess if you break federal gun laws the A.T.F. are appointed to be judge , jury , and executioners .what would you do if your door was busted open at your house and entered in the dark and unannounced ? Could have just as easily been a robbery.Just like the lawmakers in Arkansas said on the news tonight who are looking for answers.Bryan defended his self against an unknown threat just as any one who owns a a gun in the state of Arkansas would have done .

Ok this is about as far as I (as a site administrator) am going to allow this commentary to continue in a Guns and Guns Related Stuff topic. If anyone would like to discuss anything related to Bryan Malinowski, please start a new topic in the appropriate political category and not here. Ahhh, ::hmm:: my dream gun was always a S&W 66 or a 19 with the snub-nose barrel. That is beautiful! One question... is it a 19-4 or a 66? As I recall a 19 would be made from carbon steel and then nickel plated to appear stainless and the 66 made from stainless steel.... ::hmm::
