I picked up some "I-Man inspired Bones", while on sabbatical ::zzz:: ... The knife on top is from Birmingham England. The two in the middle are Keen Kutters. Nice feel to the bone to the fingertips on all of them.... :D

That handle looks great! ::tu:: A wonderful example of why bone is such a great material for knives ::nod:: And to think it is almost 100 years old... ::hmm::

Sometimes the true depth and character of a bone handle is not fully realized until you see or photograph it in just the right light. That's the case with this 2002 S&M Premier Mini Trapper that I've had for years. Always liked the bone but thought it was basically just your standard run of the mill jigged amber. bone, nothing too special. It revealed a whole new depth and complexity to me when I happened to capture this photo in late afternoon filtered sunlight the other day.

Nice one Q. Never seen a sheild like that. Great color too. Somebody around here said once that morning and evening light are the best. I find that as well. Nice jigging too. ::tu:: ::tu::
