On the top of the table is a replica Viking sword. Lower of the stand is a Yemen made highly decorated knife. Behind the sword stand on the left are the white tubes of GEC knives while on the right are Schatt & Morgan knives in boxes. Across and in front of the sword stand is a series of S & Ms in brown boxes.
On the second shelf are 3 glass cases holding entirely Bulldog German-made knives. The small white squares contain desiccant to absorb humidity.

Below is the temporary home for 3 long guns. At the top is a bolt action in .270. Next down is a WWII M-1 Carbine manufactured in the last month of the war.
Last is a double barrel 12 ga. Coach Gun with external hammers which I enjoy.

That's a beautiful, well arranged, and organized display of some of your toys, Garry, it looks fabulous.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 1:24 pm P1050207.JPG

It's funny, I didn't have you pegged for a hunter, unless those are all military rifles.
Being Canadian I really don't know my guns.

Garry, your display looks great! I must admit, displaying the knives (S&Ms) in their boxes is a new one on me. I'm assuming that's to protect the knives, but I'll be honest, it's driving The Monkey nuts wondering and wanting to see the gems hiding inside each one of those boxes!Quick Steel wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 1:24 pm on the right are Schatt & Morgan knives in boxes. Also, I keep hoping you will repost that photo you showed a while back of your scrimshaw collection display. Believe it or not, my memory of that photo was another impetus for starting this thread.

Q, I am very pleased to learn of the scrimshaw influence.
K7k, you have so very many subsections and each is interesting in its own way.
Marco, you are right in thinking that I am not a hunter. However, I will not enter the woods unarmed. The middle gun, the M-1 carbine is the only military piece I have. It was the most produced firearm of WWII. It was not our primary weapon which was the M-1 rifle. However, because the carbine was so light it became immensely popular.

Thanks, Garry, like I said, my knowledge of guns is very limited so any information I get is new and useful to me.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 12:14 pm Q, I am very pleased to learn of the scrimshaw influence.

That's very wise of you to not enter the woods unarmed, one never knows when the big bad wolf is skulking about.

It appears you too have a love of all metal knives, Rey, just like I do.

Ray, are you still actively accumulating knives or at this point would you say that your accumulation a fait accompli?

Still indiscriminately accumulating! As the infamous Red Green would say: '' I'm a man..... I can quit..... any time..... if I HAVE TO !!! ''.
