Would you happen to know the true story about the RPK's/Russian Prison Knives? We've been told certain information, but don't know how accurate it is, so if you know something we'd love to hear it. Thx!

In 2014, members of the Russian-language forum Guns.ru produced a forum knife-token. The designer is a Ukrainian member and the manufacturer is a Russian member.
Blade - n695 steel (60HRc), handle - n695 steel (45-50HRc), screws and pins - anodized titanium.
A total of 300 pieces were made.

No, this was not made by me. Each participant in this project could reserve a free number from 1 to 300, and the manufacturer applied a nickname (optional) to the knife with this number. My nickname is the same on all knife forums. And by the way, the serial number of my knife is 213
I forgot to add that the dimensions of a closed knife correspond to the dimensions of an army token.

Well, if Case would write USA and Washington DC on the blades of their knives. This is clearly in bad taste.
In Russia, knife blades were not marked “stainless steel”. In the USSR they used the mark “нерж.” In Russia, they use marks on blades: 65x13, 95x18, x12mf, 9xc, 65g, etc.
Further, the stylized brand “Stis” is not Russian at all. This was clearly someone trying to pass off their products as a “steel products factory” with the abbreviation STIZ. As far as I know, this plant has closed and does not produce its products. The plant's logo was written in Cyrillic and had a different design — "СТИЗ".
Most likely, you have an ordinary souvenir knife for tourists “I visited Russia and brought a gift from there for my friend.” All these souvenirs with the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum and other attractions are made in China.

Thanks again G.V. The quality on the knife is very cheap and it being a Chi-com rip-off makes perfect sense. I have had other Russian/Soviet made knives before and their quality is far superior to the one you pointed out as being fake. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
