An interesting and unique category for a sub collection. Great group of knives, all different shapes, sizes, handles, etc., but still sharing a common characteristic. Cool!

17th century phia-kaetta: 6 silver knives by Holmes & Edwards (Bridgeport CT): silver & abalone knife and fork by Salm Germany(tiny table knife by Dinkyknife England: Safety pea knife(a gag): United Cutlery blade-changing knife w/ 6 extra blades.

Sterling silver, coin silver, 14k gold, gold plating, mother-of-pearl, & carved aluminum. Fruit knives & pocket knives. Drawer 2 of my 12 drawer cigar box.

Pretty much so; I think the most number I've purchased at any one time was about a half dozen & that was a rare occasion.
Bear in mind I bought my 1st knife when I was 10 years old(that I still own; although it took a 25 year vacation from 1964 to 1987; a LONG story). I turned 80 a few months ago. Nuff said?

One of my smallest and favorite sub-collections is this little quartet of Case/Tony Bose Collaboration knives.

Sweet Schrade sub group, Ivoryman! (try saying that 3 times quickly )

I don't necessarily collect fixed blade knives but I do have a small sub group of Queen fixed blades that make a nice little family with seven #85 bird & trout "children" (one set of yellow twins) and two #73 barehead hunter "parents"

Of course, if you collect fixed blades, you also tend to collect sheaths by default.

On the top of the table is a replica Viking sword. Lower of the stand is a Yemen made highly decorated knife. Behind the sword stand on the left are the white tubes of GEC knives while on the right are Schatt & Morgan knives in boxes. Across and in front of the sword stand is a series of S & Ms in brown boxes.

On the second shelf are 3 glass cases holding entirely Bulldog German-made knives. The small white squares contain desiccant to absorb humidity.

Below is the temporary home for 3 long guns. At the top is a bolt action in .270. Next down is a WWII M-1 Carbine manufactured in the last month of the war.

Last is a double barrel 12 ga. Coach Gun with external hammers which I enjoy.
