Checked my trail cameras and I see we are still sporting antlers in this part of the world. Sure would love to find the big boy's antlers when he sheds them!
Always something interesting going on in the woods!

Cool shots, guys. That hairless Coyote looks demonic, wouldn't want one stalking me in the woods.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Deer hunting is over and of course life goes on in the woods. Some pictures from the last week:

Brother Phil, you’re going to have to catch them song dogs and give a dose of ivermectin to get rid of the worms and mange. Either 80 or 100 grains of Pb will take care of those problems. It's been several years since I administered a dose of Pb to a coyote but it does cure the mange.Colonel26 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 2:22 pmBrother Phil, you’re going to have to catch them song dogs and give a dose of ivermectin to get rid of the worms and mange. I've dosed more coyotes in the middle of the day, around noon for some reason? Back when I spent a lot more time in the deer woods during the day. Now I usually just sit during the last hour and a half of the day.

Excellent photos, Dog. To me Fort Davis is underappreciated. I plan to have my ashes scattered at Wild Rose Pass just north of there. But hopefully, not for a while yet.

Yep. I hunted there for many years when I was a youngster and as young man. They were wonderful hunts.
