Help with knife I.D.

Found in father in laws box. No marking on blades or handle. Handle appears to be black plastic in a faux-bark format? Any ideas as to make, model, age? Thanks. Forum is very helpful.

Hold the knife so the larger blade is on the right. Use a pencil and rub the lead on the "tang" (bottom area) of the larger blade. You may see the mark. It could be Colonial or U.S.A.. The knife is certainly one of the less expensive brands from the 40's to the 60's. Incidentally, Its not a good idea to open both blades halfway at the same time. It stresses the backspring on each end and can snap one end or the other. Better to open one blade all the way and then the other at the halfway position. Good luck. J.O'.
