Been waiting on this one for a few days. I have grown fond of Pal knives, especially the bone handled one. This one looked perfect as far as the pictures and description on eBay. I don't recall the name of the old country music song that had a phrase "there's flaws in all of them" referring to the fairer sex but it was true about this Pal knife. :)

Pal Cutlery Co. stamp would have been better to have Pal Blade Co, it's still a knife over 70 years old.

Blades appear to all have factory edges but the spay blade has evidence that some dip-stick tried to use it for a screwdriver. Tiny chip on each side of the point, grrrrr!

Hey, to each his own, buddy!
Your reasons for buying a certain knife are totally valid and for you alone to decide upon, and vise-versa for me or anyone else.
I can't tell you how many knives I've bought out of curiosity, but it's a lot.
Although I don't buy my knives for investment purposes, I applaud you or anyone else who does, I'm certain your efforts will pay off one day.

I found this Camillus 29 in a local junk/antique store. It's rare to find anything in these shops these days. Probably just fortunate timing.

Old user knives like that are so cool. I always wonder what other folks do with the old users that have minor damage. Me, I like to clean up the ones I can.

Been away for awhile spending money on everything but pocket knives the past few months. Been peeking in on occasion and getting jealous of all the fine picks. I haven’t bought any old knives but did pick up a few modern traditional knives.
I am a sucker for a swayback wharncliffe and in this case a Pena X Series Raptor XL.

I jumped on the Jack Wolf bandwagon with this Gunslinger. I wanted a Desert Ironwood but they sold out in seconds.

Side by side not so much in my eye, front bolster, nail nicks and the Monarch from Japan is actually thicker top to bottom and side to side, some heavier although that don't show up in the photo, but the shield is pretty darn close. ::tu:: ::handshake::
Thank you sir glad to meet you too CCC.

Well isn't this a co-inky-dink, Tony, I was looking at your knife just yesterday but couldn't really make it out too well from the seller's pictures, but now I see it in your pictures it's a no-brainer, I've gotta have one!
What a solid looking knife, and, it's from Cold Steel!

Yes Sir Mark ... this one is you (and me) for sure!! Perfect fit for a big hand ... built like a tank ... not a clip point ... it's a Beast! I know youtube can lead us astray sometimes, but every video I watched, they tried to abuse this knife ... they couldn't hurt it. Watch out though, there are some counterfeits out there. Thanks Man!! I knew you would like this one.

Great pick-ups everyone!

CCC, that Cold Steel is a Beast! Very cool knife.

Here are some recent pick-ups I found in my mailbox the past few weeks.

As some of you will probably know, the knives in the row on the right were a few that Q had recently posted for sale. And of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase a few of these to add to the hoard, with the exception of the Zippo rough black synthetic with the Lansky mod. spike that was an unexpected and greatly appreciate bomb to go with the other Lansky Zippo 6107 Carver & Muskrat Ratcliffe mods. Also included in that package was the beautiful BIGHEAD 3 blade Mammoth Tooth/Jasper Mini-T build, 1st Issue Green Jigged Bone Mini-T, Natural Smooth Bone 6207W & Queen 51T dressed in ACSB. Thanks again Q, for all these sweet additions to my Mini-T & Wharncliffe sub-collections.
