It looks like a Fairbairn Sykes style knife, any marks or stamps on the blade or sheath? There are tons of reproductions out there.

Look on the handle side of the guard for markings. Your knife is a 3rd model Fairbairn Sykes Commando knife. This model has been produced since WW2. WW 2 knives can have some good collectors interest. Markings can give a clue to when made. I have a small collection of these British knives I have a weakness for em.
You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.
