Berkshire Cut. Co., USA
Berkshire Cut. Co., USA ---- 3 7/16"
Goin's gives this stamp one date. c 1939
A trademark used by Simmons Hardware.
A nice little knife with decent bone covers and steel bolsters. Well made.
The main spear blade is completely lazy on closing and has a light response on open. No half stop.
The little pen is quite strong opening and closing. It has a half stop. No wobble on either blade.
It was a nice little dogleg back in the day. I'm going to carry it for a few days.
Thanks for looking

Thanks for the nice responses guys.
I'm glad I got it in Knife Lore.
Dan, that is a beauty. What a nice shield. Thanks for showing it here.
I wonder how many knives have the Berkshire stamp.
Thanks Ike.

Both of those are nice. The bone is really pretty. Somewhere in my collection I have a Berkshire U.S.A. scout knife. It too has exceptional bone. Those older beauties are getting more and more hard to find.-----Ricky

Thank you, Roger and doglegg.
Ricky, would you consider showing a picture of your Scout Knife?
I'm glad you have a Berkshire.
Thank you.

Re: Berkshire Cut. Co., USA
I will try to find the Berkshire scout and get some pictures on here. It might take a little while to find it so don't give up on me. Thanks for asking.

I recently aquired this one, looks to be a match to the one above from Danno.
