Unfortunately it is not the same compass as a Catt.

The Colonial compass was made in Japan.

The Catt. compasss was made right here in the good ole U.S.A.!

I noticed the "Rear Scout" error too, but chose not to comment . Just did not want to go there . Thought there might be Scout Master or three on AAPK that would not think it a joking matter .
I assumed he meant "Real" not "rear" .

Now, let's not argue.
If he meant "rare", then he made TWO typographical errors.
If he meant "real", then he only made ONE typographical error.

It is my opinion the seller simply does not know how to spell the word "Rare" properly and has thus repeated his spelling error twice. There is something to be said for consistency I suppose.
