Kingston knife

I'm trying to find any information on this knife. It has kingston on the shackle and Can Opener pat. Pend. On the can opener.

Late WW2 MIL-K general use knife. Should be from 1945.

I'll second that. Kingston was a combined effort between Ulster and Imperial during the war. Dissolved in 1947. Imperial patented that can opener. Applied in Nov.'44 and granted Dec '45 so the knife probably falls between those two patent dates.
